ABOUT

I'm Lubasi. I build software for the financial world — actuarial science, data science, quant finance, automation. The whole math-and-money stack.

I studied Actuarial Science at university. Somewhere along the way I realised the industry still runs on spreadsheets and manual processes that take weeks. I decided I didn't want to be the guy saying "that's how we've always done it."

So I learned to code. Started with VBA automating Excel, then R for stats, then Python for the real stuff, then Go because I wanted it to be fast. Not to change careers — because I was tired of waiting for a spreadsheet to finish calculating. The first time I turned a week of manual work into ten seconds of execution, I was hooked.

Now I build tools that actually solve problems. Not Jupyter notebook proofs-of-concept — real software that handles millions of rows without breaking a sweat.

I'm interested in the gap between academic theory and real-world implementation. Code is how I bridge it.
